My name is Sharon and I am working with Dan on Everyday Creativity (EDC). If you have any admin issues with EDC please let me know.

I have a socially-engaged, collaborative art practice. I am one half of Bennett & McDermott with Dan. We have an interest in temporary community creation. We set up participatory scenarios, games and activities that facilitate conversation and create micro communities that are short lived but very energetic

I am also co-founder of The Women's Art Activation System (WAAS) with Sarah Dixon. The WAAS make live art, performance and socially engaged artwork that enquire into, and shift, established social power dynamics. Recent work includes The Milky Way, a game-activity for visitors to The National Gallery, London to play exploring breastfeeding in paintings. 

Other works include A Visit by the Officials of the Bureau for the Validation of Art performed at the Grace Exhibition Space in New York via Zoom in 2020, Offbeat Live Art Festival 2021, Social Works?:LIVE in Manchester, and Art Licks London and The Baby Makers, a series of facilitated workshops for women in pregnancy and post-birth funded by National Lottery Community Fund.
