Drawing doesn’t have to be about accuracy or achievement. It can be a way to slow down, to notice, to reconnect with the quiet beauty of everyday life.

 

Delivered as three emails sent to you across a one-week period, the course invites you to explore drawing as a mindful, creative practice — a way of seeing and responding to the world rather than judging or perfecting it. Each practice takes around ten to fifteen minutes and is designed as an enriching practice that you might like to integrate into your own creative routine as you like. 

 

Whether you’re an experienced artist, a beginner, or somewhere in between, these simple guided sessions will help you:

 

  • Reconnect with your natural sense of curiosity and wonder.

  • Feel calm and grounded through creative focus.

  • Build confidence in your own way of seeing and making.

All you need is a pencil, some paper, and a few quiet minutes each day.

What You’ll Explore

Each practice takes about 10–15 minutes and can be expanded or repeated as time allows. Every exercise can serve as a powerful tool for training your perceptive skills and deepening your awareness.

Day 1 – Attention and Awareness

Let go of self-criticism and reconnect with what it means to really see. Try short “blind drawings” that help you notice form, texture, and presence.

Day 2 – Flow and Line

Experience the meditative rhythm of continuous-line drawing. Let your hand follow your eye and rediscover the simple joy of movement on paper.

Day 3 – Light and Reflection

 Notice how light, shadow, and shape appear in your home or outdoors. End the week by writing a short Haiku inspired by your drawing or surroundings.
