Inspiration from unusual places

This might seem a slighly whacky post but I've been noticing how I get inspired from all sorts of places, not just by visual art.
I really love this band, Pomplamoose. Especially their 'mash ups'. This might not be your kind of music and that's ok. One thing I love about them is their commitment to their art and the amount of joy that they obviously get out of making music together. Yes, they are successful now, but they weren't. This success follows many years of just making music and mucking around making cool videos together. Just because they were compelled to do so. That's what they do.
I'm inspired by this commitment and their joy. I endeavour to try to practice as much as I can. Quite often I forget that making art is fun. I get bogged down in admin, applications and computers. Today I'm noting the enthusiasm that the keyboard player, Jack Conte, is playing with and trying to infuse my daily activities with a bit of that enthusiasm.
