Project briefs and meetings

Hi all,

As promised here is the project brief for this month - coming to you direct from a campsite in sometimes sunny Exmoor. Hope you enjoy it. There is no meeting this week and we will meet next to chat about peogress in about two weeks.

Harmony - project brief - August 2026

In this project you will begin by researching what the term Harmony means in a context of your choice then you will respond creatively in any way that feels right.

Perusing these galleries, I just discovered an artist whom I have seen a few images of pieces in the past but didn't know well - Swiss-born artist Ugo Rondinone. I love his work and the way he speaks about it - very matter-of-fact in terms of what his work means or symbolises - he makes works that are meditations on human nature or human situations. Very interesting... for me .. I think. :)

In many ways Rondinone remainds me of an other artist i love : Mimmo Paladino is an Italian sculptor, painter and printmaker. Worth checking him out also.
