Catherine Yasmin artist
Whilst we are thinking light, I’m put in mind of the artist/photographer Catherine Yass. She takes photos of interior or exterior spaces and flips the colours into negative, in such a way as to emphasise the light source, then presents the images as semi transparent colour photographs set into a light box so the image has its own light sourse from within. I’ve liked this work ever since first discovering it in the 90’s. Very liminal.
