Making work in the gaps

ree

On Thursday my husband completed the full length of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path with a day long walk starting at Newport, Pembrokeshire. The gap of time I made work in was during the time it took to return to my car having accompanied my him for the first half an hour of his walk.

Starting at the mouth of the Nevern Estuary we walked together for half an hour along the river to the Iron Bridge. My husband continued his route northwards along the coastal path. I paused on the bridge.  It was still quite early in the day and I liked the silhouette of myself in the water.

Then I retraced my steps back the way we had previously travelled together. Back on the path I liked the shadows cast upon the path but kept getting my shadow in the viewfinder. Rather than seeing this as an annoyance I decided to go with it and created a series of photos of the path. Whenever the shadows seemed interesting to me I paused and briefly took a photo.

very clever collection, lots of adjectives come to mind, though slightly spooky to me....
