I enjoyed looking at the Matisse/Derrain exhibition link too. The comment at the end about how influential fauvism was is brilliant - 'Matisse and Derain forged a new pictorial language and that they createsd a new way of approaching composition and colour as a force of self expression liberating it from any requirements of description which went on to have such a lasting and enduring impact throughout the development of modern art in the 20th century'
