Update on Tomma Abts inspiration
Time for an update on painting progress! Ages ago I researched Tomma Abts (can't remember which Project it was for now...) I decided to adopt her way of working by painting on 4 boards that were the same size and work on the pieces with minimal plans, no sketches, using abstract shapes etc. I started by re-working a collage we did as part of one of the improvise exercises. I cut it up and placed the pieces over the four boards, added some more collage pieces and painted over with white. Then I added colour. Today I have decided to stop and review what I've done. Here are some photos of the four pieces and some details.
Each piece is A4 size. I worked on all four paintings at the same time.
