Creative progress

Here’s my finished piece - in acrylic. First image is the painting itself. Because a cropped screenshot of one of my photos was the starting point for me this month the second image is a screenshot of this painting as wallpaper on my phone.

The painting is not how I thought it’d turn out as I expected it to be much more muted in colour and more abstract. I learnt a lot. I’m wondering whether to do a wash all over or varnish it to unify all the areas. I’m open to instructions for the best way to do this and for any feedback too…
