Artwork and Action!

Progress so far
So far with the Protest and Art brief I’ve been thinking about how much time I spend THINKING and how the thoughts often stay as thoughts in my head! So I’ve felt prompted to speak out and to take action.
I am still making art too in the same way I usually do - at home focussing upon the colours and forms of nature. Here are two of my current pieces. What I’m curious about is whether the challenge to speak out and take action starts to show more in my artwork. Other than making art there are two things I've engaged with during the brief: 1. Writing to my MP and 2. Fundraising for The Wildlife Trusts
1. Writing to my MP
I’ve decided to become more vocal about Nature and the Climate Crisis. So far, I’ve written to my MP about a new Climate and Nature (CAN) Bill going through parliament asking him to support it. The CAN Bill would ensure that the UK reduces emissions fairly, reverses biodiversity loss and involves citizens when making decisions about the best way forward. https://www.zerohour.uk/climate-and-nature-bill/
2. Fundraising for The Wildlife Trusts
Also, over the next fortnight I’m taking part in a fundraising campaign for The Wildlife Trusts. They are a group of charities that cover the whole of the UK and do good work. Here’s my fundraising page - no obligation to donate though - for info. Every £1 that I raise will preserve nature, as part of The Wildlife Trusts' mission to protect 30% of land and sea by 2030. Their mission is to restore nature, to protect wildlife and to ensure a wilder future for everyone.
