A new collage
This one is 12cm x 12cm. Paper cut collage incorporating photos. I've used the gelli plate to print colour layer onto the photos. The composition is a basic 3 x 3 grid but I've allowed the pieces to disrupt the structure. It is based on some small paintings I did last year and inspired by Paul Klee.
And here are my notes - I found looking at all the previous work and making lists really helpful under the three headings: materials, techniques and themes.

That’s really exploring this month’s brief - looking back at old work - using elements to push forward the new. I keep thinking your tree grids can’t get better - and then they do!
