Final piece for Remix-Remake brief

Cut up pieces of the colour studies I did including Happiness, Sadness, Acceptance and Joy. Using scissors to cut them as randomly as I could manage and then reassembled on card approx 30cm x 45cm. This feels much more abstract and expressive than the painted pieces I did. It's also on a larger scale than I'd normally use for collage. Great brief! I'm sure you could 'Remix- Remake' the brief again at some point, Dan!
Lee Krasner, (once only known for being married to Jackson Pollock), one day cut up her work because she wasn't satisfied with it. Next time she went into her studio she saw the pieces on the floor and decided to make collage with them. She was a first generation Abstract Expressionist. I came across this book - haven't got it (yet) but apparently there has been rumours its being released as a Amazon Prime series. It's called 'Ninth Street Women' by Mary Gabriel.
